The Oxford-Weidenfeld and Hoffmann Scholarships and Leadership Program was established in 2015 thanks to generous donations from multiple donors to mark the 95th birthday of Lord Weidenfeld. This scholarship is part of the Oxford Graduate Scholarships, which were established through a groundbreaking new matched funding initiative to enable the creation of fully-funded scholarships for graduate students of the highest caliber from across the world. The University contributes 40% of the funds for these scholarships, together with 60% from generous donations provided by supporters of the Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Trust, including Foundation Hoffmann

  • Applicants should be able to demonstrate a connection between subject of study and their longer-term career objectives, explaining how they see their professional work contributing to the improvement of public life in their country of origin or at a wider regional or international level
  • Applicants should have a 2.1 (3.5 GPA) or its equivalent. If they were not awarded a minimum of 2.1 they may still be considered provided they have a very strong employment record demonstrating a high degree of responsibility
  • IELTS: 7.5 with min score of 7.0 in each component
  • GMAT/ GRE:
    • Candidates are recommended to apply with a GMAT score of 650 or above
    • Recommended score for Sub-sections Verbal score of 160 and Quantitative score of 161
  • Work Experience: Applicants should have at least two years of previous full-time work experience
  • Interview: It is part of both admission and scholarship process
  • Applicants with a full-time degree-level course of a minimum of nine months, at a recognised institution, where the medium of instruction and assessment was entirely in English can be exempted from the English proficiency exam at the discretion of the University
