Kerala Directorate of Collegiate Education Post Matric Scholarship to minority students for the first year of plus two, Under Graduate, Post Graduate and PhD Programmes in Govt/ Aided/Recognised Unaided Institution or 11th Class/Technical/ Vocational Course of ITI/ITC Centres. The scholarship is funded by Higher Education Department, ie. Directorate of Collegiate Education (DCE) of the Government of Kerala.

  • PROVIDED TO : Meritorious students belonging to economically weaker sections of minority community in Kerala

The objective of the Kerala Directorate of Collegiate Education Post Matric Scholarship scheme is to award scholarships to meritorious students belonging to economically weaker sections of minority community so as to provide them better opportunities for higher education, increase their rate of attainment in higher education and enhance their employability.

Scholarship Rate

  • Admission and tuition fee Class XI and XII: Rs. 7,000/-per annum subject to actuals (both Hosteller and Day Scholar)
  • Admission and course/tuition fee for technical and vocational courses Admission+ of XI and XII level (Courses of one or more year of duration) : Rs. Tuition Fee 10,000/-
    per annum subject to actuals (both Hosteller and Day Scholar)
  • Admission and tuition fee for UG and PG level: Rs. 3,000/- per annum subject to actuals (both Hosteller and Day Scholar)
  • Maintenance Allowance For Class XI and XII including Tech.and Voc. Course Rs. 380/- per month for Hosteller Rs. 230/- per month for Day Scholar
  • For Courses other than Technology and Proffesional. courses at UG and PG level Rs. 570 /-per month for Hosteller – Rs.300/- per month for Day Scholar
  • For M.Phil and Ph.D Rs.1,200/- per month for Hosteller – Rs. 550 /- per month for Day Scholar * For 10 months 1n an academic year.

Kerala Directorate of Collegiate Education Post Matric Scholarship Eligibility

  • Should be the First Year student ofi. Plus Two/ UG/ PG/ Ph.D Course of Higher Secondary School/ College/ Institutes/ University, which is either a Govt/ Aided/Recognised Unaided Institution. OR
    ii. 11th Class/Technical/ Vocational Course of ITI/ITC Centres affiliated to NCVT. OR
    iii. Course, other than those listed in under merit-cum-means scholarship scheme. The names of courses listed under Merit-cum-means scholarship are given in See Instructions for details.
  • Should belong to Minority Community (Muslim/ Christian/ Buddhists/ Sikh/ Zoroastrians or Parsis).
  • Should have secured not less than 50% marks or equivalent grade in the previous Board/ University Examination.
  • The Annual Family Income should not exceed Rs. 2 Lakhs.
  • Should not be availing any other Scholarship or Stipend.

Kerala Directorate of Collegiate Education Post Matric Scholarship Application Procedure

The Kerala Directorate of Collegiate Education Post Matric Scholarship scheme is implemented through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP). It is mandatory for all students to apply online on the website i.e. www.scholarships.gov.in.

Applications can be submitted online through Department of Collegiate Education (DCE) website http://www.dcescholarship.kerala.gov.in/.

Scholarship amount will be credited to the Bank Account of the candidates selected. So Applicant should have a Bank Account in his/her name in any one of State Bank of India, State Bank of Travancore, South Indian Bank or Federal Bank.
